Rehearsal Notes for July, 2008

The August 23rd date is still penciled in on Lee's calendar, but because of a summer lack of baritones and tenors, some thought has been given to moving the show date back into September when more of the above should be available on a regular basis. This has also complicated picking new contest tunes for October.

Our show opener will be "Harmony", David Wright's 1989 arrangement for the Vocal Majority.

Current CSM repertoire:

  1. "Harmony"
  2. "Happy Together"
  3. "When I Lift Up My Head"
  4. "Sh-Boom"
  5. "Come Fly With Me"
  6. "Deep River"
  7. "Lullabye"
  8. "Moving Up To Glory Land"
  9. "I've Got The World On A String"
  10. "Love Me"
  11. "Alleluia"
  12. "The Star Spangled Banner (Jim Clancy arrangement)
  13. "Then I'll Be Tired Of You" - potential contest ballad (intro and tag being reworked)

Our major events for the rest of the year are:

  1. Annual show (Conn Center at Lee University) - August 23rd or possibly a late September date.
  2. Fall Contest - 1st week in October in Chattanooga.
  3. 3rd Annual William Rogers Basket Fund Christmas Charity show in December. This year Chattanooga and Cleveland will attempt to have one Community Christmas Chorus with at least two major performances.

This Fall should bring more local performances as well, not to mention our ongoing effort to perform the Star Spangled Banner at an Atlanta Braves game.

Come out and sing with us!
